Summary: The Turning Crown is a standalone Apple Watch game. It never connects to the internet and collects no personal information.
Nothing. The app has no user accounts, no sign-in, no ads, no analytics or crash-reporting services, and no third-party code of any kind. It contains no networking code and requests no networking permission, so no data can leave your watch.
Everything the game saves — your kingdom's resources, the choices you have made, which campaigns you have finished, and your accessibility and notification preferences — is stored only on your Apple Watch. It lives in the app's own private storage and in a shared container that lets the watch-face complication display your realm's current state.
Saved games are stored as plain JSON. The app does not apply its own encryption, and does not exclude the save from backups; it relies on watchOS's own file protection.
If you enable notifications, the reminders are composed and scheduled entirely on your watch. They are never sent through a server.
The app requests notification permission only, and only if you choose to enable reminders. It requests no health, motion, or location data.
The Turning Crown is a paid-upfront app. It contains no in-app purchases and no subscriptions.
The Turning Crown has no accounts and no sign-in. There is nothing for you to create and nothing for us to delete, because we never receive your data in the first place. Deleting the app removes its data from your device.
Because this data lives in the app's normal storage, it is included in your device's iCloud or computer backups if you have backups enabled — exactly like any other app's data. Those backups are governed by Apple's privacy policy, not ours.
Privacy laws such as the GDPR and CCPA give you rights to access, correct, export, and erase personal data that a company holds about you. We hold none. We operate no servers that receive data from this app, so there is no record of you for us to produce, correct, or erase. If you believe otherwise, write to us and we will investigate.
We do not sell or share personal information, and we do not process it for targeted advertising.
If we change what The Turning Crown does with your data, we will update this page and change the date above. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
